Basic Information of BOPP Film

Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) is a polypropylene film that has been stretched in both the machine and cross directions. Disadvantages

BOPP film has disadvantages, such as easy to be static, without heat sealing. In high-speed operation of the production line, BOPP film is easy to produce static. And you need to install the electrostatic remover. In order to obtain a heat-sealable BOPP film, it can be coated after corona treatment on the surface with the heat-sealable resin glue, such as PVDC latex, EVA latex, etc.; and it can also be coated with a solvent adhesive and applied extrusion coating or the method of production of co-extruded composite heat sealable BOPP film. The film is widely used in the packaging of the bread, clothes, footwear, as well as the packaging of cigarettes, books cover. BOPP film initiator tear strength after stretching improved, but the the secondary tear strength was low, therefore, BOPP films both ends can not leave any incision or it will be easily torn during printing or composition. BOPP coated stickers can produce sealing tape which is the most common market of BOPP.
