What is Third Party Inspection

The third party inspection (TPI) is inspection carried by the independent third party (such as a full-time supervision and inspection agencies) who is out of the trading interests. This party is fair and authoritative non-identity of the two parties. It inspects according to relevant laws, standards, contracts accepted by both sides basis for product compliance testing and accreditation activities. Third party inspection activities are relatively concentrated in industrial activities, particularly in the industrial manufacturing industry.

After signing the contract, during the execution of this contract, the buyer or the seller (relatively preferred less) engages an independent third-party company repeated the line against the seller of the contract of tracking and evaluation to ensure that the contract is valid, qualified to perform, thereby reduce risk.

The process



Buyers and sellers sign contract - the buyers or sellers hire third-party inspection - a third party inspection in accordance with the contract, standards, regulations, and other requirements- third party inspection report - buyers and sellers make requirements of the contract adjustment – third party tracking verification - report released after compliance.

From the initial pure product testing development to nowadays, the third party inspection has participate in the whole process of execution of the contract, such as feasibility analysis, risk assessment, contract evaluation, design review, process quality control, etc.

When can we use the TPI?



For example, company A needs to buy a high pressure reactor from company B. Because the equipment has high criticality and cost, in order to make sure the equipment provided by B is qualified, A can hire a third party inspection company to represent them to supervise the whole contract execution. Third party work may include: raw material audit, the audit of the welding process, welding engineering supervision, dimensional inspection, pressure test witness, visual inspection, file audits, etc.
